If you recognize your talents, use them appropriately, and choose a field that uses those talents, you will rise to the top of your field. Does this mean that you will be an outstanding Surgeon/ Outstanding Attorney? Entertainer? Not really. This principle recognizes that God endows each of us with some kind of ability. If we use that ability for good, we can become excellent in our field. being successful means striving for excellence no matter what the work.
To answer the big question about the meaning and purpose of your life you have to discover answers to the small questions

- Does it fulfill you and make you happy?
- What are your unique traits and strengths?
Exercise 2: Identify three people that you admire. List the key characteristics or attributes they possess that you admire.

Arthur Gaston lived in Dixie in a prejudiced society that made no allowances for minorities. In the 1920s, Gaston promised people that if they signed up and agreed to pay him twenty-five cents a week, their burial would be taken care of when they died. The quarter a week was not much. Although some people died before they had paid in enough, others had paid more.Gaston then took the profits and invested them. Eventually Gaston realized that they needed a bank in Birmingham that extended loans to blacks because none of the currently existing banks would give loans without exorbitant interest. When asked how he got so rich, he said he saw a need and filled it. To make life a success, identify a need in your environment and figure a plan of how to fill it
